Getting started

Get started with Watsy

Send verification codes over WhatsApp, Telegram and SMS from your server, with automatic channel fallback.

These docs hold both the guides and the API reference. You send one request with your user's number; we generate the code and deliver it on the best channel, then you check what the user typed with a second request.

How a code gets delivered

Example: one code along the default channel chain
  1. WhatsApp

    The provider rejected it

    Charged, refunded at once

  2. Telegram

    Code delivered

    The only charge

  3. SMS

    Never needed

    Not charged

You pay only for the channel that delivered. Every step is listed in the response under messages.

  • Channels are tried in the order you choose. Default: WhatsApp, then Telegram, then SMS.
  • Each channel is charged before sending and refunded at once if it fails. You only pay for the channel that delivered.
  • Channels that are not configured, or not priced for the destination, are skipped automatically.

SMS is not available yet: we are connecting a local Iraqi carrier. Until then the SMS step of the chain is skipped automatically.

What's inside

  • Guides: integration steps, webhooks, your own WhatsApp number and practical articles.
  • API reference: every endpoint with ready examples in cURL, JavaScript, Python, PHP and Go.
  • Errors: stable codes with Arabic and English messages.
